A titanium brake caliper, printed rather than machined
Brake calipers printed in titanium for high-end bicycles and motorcycles, lighter and stiffer than anything machined from a block.
The problem
A machined caliper starts as a solid block and keeps whatever the cutter cannot reach. So it is heavier than it needs to be in some places, not stiff enough in others, and it sheds heat only from its outer skin.
What we built
A monoblock caliper designed by topology optimization and printed in titanium by laser powder-bed fusion, so metal sits only where the load goes. Internal channels and a lattice skin give it cooling surface a machined part cannot have. Prototypes are on the road in Bangkok.
Why it matters
Lighter and stiffer than a machined block, for riders who notice the difference. Launch planned for 2027.
